Innovation and engineering excellence are the backbone of our culture at Broadcom. Each year, the company hosts the Broadcom Technical Conference to provide a platform for our top engineers to share ideas on the latest technical advances in semiconductor solutions for wired and wireless communications. This year’s event took place in Irvine on June 6-7.

The capstone of the conference is the Broadcom Honors awards ceremony where Broadcom engineers with exceptional technical expertise and accomplishments are recognized.
The two categories of recognition are Broadcom Fellow and Broadcom Distinguished Engineer. The 2012 recipients include two Fellows – John Creigh and Frank van Diggelen – and 14 Distinguished Engineers.
Broadcom Fellow is the highest honor bestowed upon a very limited number of our most talented engineers. Their tremendous accomplishments have contributed to the technical legacy and overall success of Broadcom among other stringent criteria. Only 24 employees have been honored as Fellows.
Broadcom Distinguished Engineer is bestowed upon a small number of engineers who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty and are widely recognized by peers as experts in their field among other criteria. Broadcom has named 93 Distinguished Engineers in its history.
