Winning Connectivity: Broadcom Honored with 2012 CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award

Without the ability to connect to data networks and other devices, the smartphone would be a lot less smart.

Broadcom helps make smartphones smarter by combining key wireless connectivity technologies together into “combo chips” that integrate them on a single piece of silicon.  Combo chips help smartphone manufacturers slim down their designs and make sleeker phones.

Broadcom’s InConcert® BCM4330 wireless connectivity solution, with its Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM radio components, has been recognized with a CES Innovations Award – an honor bestowed upon the most compelling electronics products of the year, as determined by respected technology journalists and a panel of independent engineers.

The BCM4330 was selected for its combination of low power, small size and advanced wireless functionality that allows mobile device makers to enable new, engaging mobile experiences that extend beyond the handset.

Come hear Broadcom’s David Recker, product marketing director for the Mobile and Wireless Group, talk about the award-winning chip at the Innovation Awards Design & Engineering Showcase at International Consumer Electronics Show this week.

When: Tuesday, January 10, 2012

Time: 3:30 p.m.
