As employees around the world replace their desktops and laptops with mobile devices, network managers are seeking new ways to provision, secure and control enterprise computing resources and information access to keep employees connected – regardless of their location.

This week, we unveiled our latest innovation designed for the modern workforce (aka Enterprise 2.0).  The BCM56545 brings the innovation Broadcom is known for in the data center and service provider networks to the wiring closet, enabling gigabit connectivity in the enterprise.

One very cool feature of this new solution is our new App-IQ technology. It provides network managers with application-level visibility, meaning they can more effectively manage congestion, block undesired applications and ultimately increase employee productivity. Until now, only specialized and expensive appliances could deliver this level of application visibility.

So what does this mean for the common road warrior doing business on the go? It means faster connections, effortless streaming video and easy access to cloud based applications and data. In short, it means a better overall experience when connecting with the corporate network.

Come by our Interop booth next week to see the technology in action or visit our website to learn more.
